The Sales Engineer is a customer-facing role responsible for implementing new customers and driving expansion through upselling and cross-selling across Redo’s product suite. Each Sales Engineer specializes in one of Redo’s product clouds—Returns, Order Management, Email/SMS, Conversion, or Support—developing deep domain expertise to help customers get the most value from the platform. This role carries both a quota and a defined book of business.

Sales Engineers work closely with General Managers and Engineers to manage customer implementations, coordinate feature requests, and deliver a seamless technical experience end-to-end. They also partner directly with Account Executives to run deals, providing product expertise and guiding prospects through technical validation and solution design.

This is one of the few roles at Redo that offers visibility into every part of the business—from GTM and customer success to product, engineering, and operations. It’s a uniquely cross-functional seat that blends technical problem-solving with customer engagement and meaningful business impact. The breadth of exposure also creates a clear progression path into multiple areas of the company, whether that’s owning the development of a new product, leading a post-sales team, or moving into the top-of-funnel Account Executive organization.

Responsibilities

Customer Implementation

  • Partner closely with Sales, GMs, and Engineering to scope, configure, and launch new customers

  • Join sales cycles pre-close to uncover requirements, validate technical fit, and design scalable solutions

  • Translate customer workflows into Redo configurations and ensure a smooth, on-time go-live

Upselling & Expansion

  • Identify opportunities for customers to adopt additional features and maximize platform value

  • Build deep, multi-stakeholder relationships to understand goals, pain points, and roadmap needs

  • Cross-sell new products within your book of business and influence long-term account strategy

Quota & Business Management

  • Consistently achieve or exceed quota through expansion and technical deal support

  • Own a book of business, driving revenue growth through proactive engagement and solution guidance

  • Partner with AEs to run deals end-to-end, including demos, technical validation, and scoping

Qualifications

  • High-agency mindset—proactive, resourceful, and able to drive outcomes independently

  • Strong technical skills with the ability to quickly learn product nuances

  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong bias for action

  • Clear communicator who can simplify complex concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Strong relationship builder with proven cross-functional collaboration experience

  • Familiarity with ecommerce platforms and post-purchase systems is a plus
